London's public transport is more accessible than ever. There are plans to make the network even more accessible, especially for elderly and disabled passengers, in future.
Transport in London
Transport for London (TFL) provides a huge amount of information about public transport accessibility.
You can use TfL's online journey planner to plan a journey tailored to your specific needs.
TfL also offer free Travel Mentoring that can help you to plan and undertake independent journeys around London.
People with disabilities and older people can travel for free across London and for free on bus journeys outside of London. To do this you'll need to apply for a Freedom Pass.
Freedom Pass holders travel free on the Tube, Overground, DLR and all bus services. Travel on rail services is also free. The pass isn't valid before 9:30am on some routes.
